Commissioned Work

Alexander Karasev is available to deliver custom photography to fit your objectives, in fields of portraiture, architectural and special application photography. Rates range from $2K to $5K per day depending on the demands and technical specifics of the assignment. If shooting outside New York City, please add lodging, meals and transportation.

Personal and Family Portraits - Studio and Location Photography

$470: Standard Studio package

3 hour photo session at Karasev Studio
3 large prints (11x14" or 12x18")
5 medium prints (8x10" or 7x10.5")
6 megapixel images of all the keeper shots produced in the session, with no watermarks or any restrictions on reproduction
same images re-sized for optimal facebook and digital photo frame resolutions, delivered on DVD media

$597: Deluxe Studio Package
Includes IN ADDITION to the standard package

2 additional hours of shooting (no artificial limit imposed on the number of shots)
Additional location lighting equipment
2 more large prints (11x14" or 12x18")
4 more medium prints (8x10" or 7x10.5")
24 megapixel images of all the keeper shots

Location Shooting
Add $160 to either package if you prefer to shoot at a public place, chartered property (with photo permit secured), or the comfort of your onw home.

Event Photography

Weddings
Basic half-day coverage with digital image delivery begins at $2K. Please inquire about albums and other creative options as well as off-peak discounts.

Corporate Events
We offer competitive rates based on event specifics and image usage. Charitable and not-for-profit organizations, advocacy groups, and educational institutions may qualify for meaningful discounts.

Personal Events
$180/hour plus travel expenses (if outside of New York City). We often have flat $400/event "birthday special" rates available, particularly during the off-season. (Saturdays during the Summer and early Fall are considered peak of the season.)

New York City "Time with a Pro" One-on-One Photography Coaching

In terms of photographic inspiration, energy and opportunity, New York City is a supermodel. From iconic architecture to "only in New York!" street photography moments, from Central Park to Soho and the Lower East Side, New York delivers a photographic environment no other city can match for sheer diversity of options and power it can lend to an image.

What a way to share some time with a pro, navigating the city avoiding all the tourist traps and tired perspecives, enriching your portfolio, sharing ideas and experiences, expanding your skills. Our 3 "NYC time with a pro" packages offer several price choices by varying time and options, but would each deliver a fun and enlightening experience.

a) $235: 2.5 hours with a pro
Meet in midtown Manhattan by Central Park. Walk through Central Park discussing technical and artistic aspects of photography and practicing scenic and candid photography. Optionally stop by Central Park Zoo to photograph the Snow Leopard and other animals. Q&A.

b) $345: 4 hours with a pro
Same as above, plus interior / exterior architecture photography in Midtown. Use of composition techniques and depth of field in busy urban environments to tune out unwanted elements and enhance the power of the photo. Discussion expanded to include DAM (digital asset management), digital darkroom, copyright.

c) $595: full day with a pro (8-10 hours, can include sunrise or late night photography, if desired)
Same as above, plus people photography downtown - approaching and photographing strangers, model and property release issues, working with people. Lunch at a good mid-price restaurant is included. Also included is 1 year of portfolio reviews over the internet/email after the session (up to 6 portfolios / up to 100 images total) as well as questions about photography.
